SysOp operations#

The SysOp panel is available at /admin on the web service. It authenticates with a board account that has SysOp access and creates a time-limited admin session in the browser.

Before you start#

  • Access the panel through HTTPS in production.
  • Use a unique SysOp password.
  • Take a current backup before bulk deletion or access-level changes.

Sign in and review status#

  1. Append /admin to the board's HTTPS URL and open it.
  2. Sign in with the SysOp account.
  3. Review board statistics and active nodes.
  4. Log out when finished, especially on a shared browser.

Supported operations#

  • List callers and inspect an account without exposing its password hash.
  • Change account access levels or reset a password.
  • Delete an account when required by board policy.
  • Review or remove public messages.
  • Create, activate, deactivate or remove bulletins.
  • Inspect active node information.

Password resets should be communicated through a separate trusted channel. Never send a permanent password in a public board message.

Verify#

Refresh the relevant panel list, then confirm the effect from a normal caller session. For access-level changes, log the caller out and back in before judging the result. Check /healthz after administrative work to confirm the database remains available.
